Walks to Duddingston Village and Loch

This weekend we went on a walk and watched the sunset at Duddingston Village. The area has been inhabited for 9,000 years, and was known for its textiles. It has an inn called Sheep Heid that dates back to the 14th Century, and is still a local favorite. The church within the village dates to the 12th century and is still in use today. The village sits at the foot of Arthur's Seat, and has a beautiful loch on the out skirts of town. We live about a 10 minute walk from it, and it is great for feeding ducks and rich in history!
