Little Vikings

This week in school we were learning about the Vikings, and for some reason dragons seemed to be another theme(in our read alouds and they were carved on Viking longships).  So we made our own shields and swords to battle dragons together.  Here are our little Viking invaders.

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with our friends.  I had a bit of a stuffing scare.  I was trying to be really "with it" and prepare my stuffing early, but it turned out terrible.  I was totally sad because it is my favorite part of the meal.  So after a bit of encouragement by my hubby and my sister the next morning I started another batch and it came out great!  The meal was tasty and the time shared with friends even better.  To top off the day our kiddos put on a Thanksgiving play!  I was very proud of Jaye.  She knew her lines and even some of the other kiddos' too. Little boy even made his appearance as both a pilgrim and a Native American babe.  He tagged along and enjoyed every minute of it.  Bigger boy made a couple appearances as a Native American, but mostly was a part of the audience. The kids entertained us and we learned a bit of Thanksgiving history at the same time!
