Jayelle's First High Temp
On Saturday night Jayelle had her first high temp. She ran about a 102.5 temperature by the time we decided it was important that we see the doctor. So I called the outpatient afterhours hotline for the third time that night and set up an appointment for a quarter to midnight. As I made the appointment I started praying for a ride to the infirmary (hospital), and with compassion and care our new minister was willing to not only drive us to, but also home. We are so thankful for him! We had no idea what to expect from the UK medical system, but I must say I was completely impressed with our doctor. He spoke to Jayelle on her terms to explain each thing he was doing, he gave very good advice and assurance to us nervous parents, and we were in and out of there in less then an hour. Jayelle had a virus, and she would be fine in no time at all. On the way home Jayelle had her first true vomiting episode, and when we arrived home we took doctor's orders: a warm sponge bath for Jayelle (he gave us explicit instructions on how to do so) and off to bed for the whole family. I am so thankful to say that Jayelle's temp is gone, but the cough continues (just as the doctor had predicated). Thank you to all those who have been sending their prayers to our family the past few days! She is on the mend! YEA!

So glad she is on the mend. We are praying for her leg too! Thanks for the updates to the blog. It makes us feel like you are not on the other side of the world. XO
