Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!  I was told that Valentine's Day in England is not for kids.  It is for sweethearts.  There was a time in my life where I was not too enthusiastic about the holiday myself, but recently I began to look at it in a new light.  What an opportunity and fun way to devote an entire day to celebrating Christ's love for us!  So together we decorated hearts and put scripture verses on them.  While David was gone to Cor Deo, the kids and I also had a dance party to our favorite praise music.   I am already starting my creative juices rolling for what to do next year.  I also really like little acts of love so in the morning David and I placed a book for each kiddo at their seat around the breakfast table for a little surprise to wake up to.  We all share a love for books!  Then for an extra special treat, the Mead family so lovingly offered to take our little valentines for the evening so that David and I could go on a dinner date! Not only that, but sweet Melanie reserved a table for us and then Peter dropped us off  because we didn't have a car yet.  We couldn't recall the last time we had just the two of us out to dinner.  Way over due and so much fun!  Thank you Meads!

my little Valentines...Jaye decided they all should wear red on Valentine's day so they picked out their outfits for each other.  Too cute!

One of the sweet Mead kids with our littlest!

The youngest mead and our eldest son!

 My Valentine!

The local resturant we tested out (which is within walking distance)  Nice...and has free refills on warm drinks (which is a big plus)!
