First Leg of the Trip

Yesterday we loaded the UHaul trailer with the final bins and bags to depart from Stanfield and begin our move to as one friend called it "the mother land."  Packing came with melt downs and tears (on my part as well as the kiddos) and reminders of how God has richly blessed us at Stanfield.  We will miss our beautiful friends and family dearly!  Our children did so well in this time of transition.  Elliot was a little trooper he sat in his booster chair feasting on puffs and laugh at his siblings.  Jaye and Rett thought it fun to watch movies on a blanket couch and then swap bedrooms for a floor blanket nap.  We are thankful for our friends who helped in our moving: providing and making us meals, moving sofa's, babysitting our little ones, and praying for us!  We are also thankful for our landlord who may have been our best landlord to date.  The drive was easy and fast,  David and I had a really fun time praying for each of our partners and then some during the long drive.  The children slept and we had perfect traveling weather!  That reminds me to mention, we are thanking the Lord for his timing.  If all had gone on our timing we would be stuck in London Heathrow with a bunch of other people without bags and unable to get out because of the snowy weather.  Yea Lord for how you know what is best for this family....three little ones, no beds, no bags, and jet lag would have made for a very unhappy crew of Searights.  Please pray for us to extend patience and grace to each other through the remainder of our traveling.  We have a very nice nonstop flight to London, and we are thankful for that.
