Sad News

As we drove up from California my mother called with sad news.  A dear friend and next door neighbor from my childhood had passed away.  My parents were very good friends with him and our families spent many Christmases and family vacations together.  My sister and I have countless memories from our childhood with this family.  Mallori and I attended his celebration of life ceremony yesterday, and our special memories of Mike came flooding back.  Mike you made our childhood special and fun.  Thank you for the many Christmases full of singing, especially "The 12 Day's of Christmas."  Thank you for taking us on ride after ride on the boat.  Thank you for four wheeler rides up to the store for candy at the cabin.  Thank you for the pie fight in the house, where my Dad got pie in the eye.  I never listen to "Don't Worry Be Happy," or "Kokomo" without thinking of you.  You are missed already!
