California Trip

Our trip to California was a delight.  Our children traveled wonderfully and we didn't have any snow over the mountain passes.  This was a huge blessing!  Our kids really took to Ms. Prudence, a wonderful retired missionary who blessed us by allowing us to invade her home.  Our friends welcomed their little baby boy, Caleb, the day before we left, which allowed us to get many cuddles over the weekend!  As an added bonus our friends from southern Cali came up for the weekend as well.  So there was a bit of a seminary reunion. David preached Sunday morning, sharing about our mission and vision and also some about the ethos of Cor Deo.  The church was very welcoming and kind.  David was invited to attend an after church small group that is focused around discussing the morning's sermon.  It was fun for him to hear what the Lord was speaking to each person.  In the evening we enjoyed a time of songs and fellowship with local churches in the area.  We were encouraged by the community of churches coming together to celebrate the Lord.  It was hard to say see you later to our dear friends, we miss living across the sidewalk from them, especially when our children are so close in age.
