Jayelle at 23 months

Jaye is going to be 2 years old this month!  I have to really document a few things she is doing right now, and I know I am not even scratching the surface of things she is doing.

Some of the words she is saying now:
"pechers" = pictures
"cack" = snack
"beach" = she says this very clearly
"bus"
"choo choo"
" I too" = I love you too, this just melts my heart.  It is my personal favorite!
"E-Elle" = Jayelle, It is so sweet how she says her name. . .Dave says to her that she is probably pronouncing it better than we are.
"Nessie" = she loves her stuffed Nessie that a couple of our friends from Dave's school gave her.  And you know you are living in Scotland when you are singing "Old McDonald" and your daughter suggests that on his farm he had a Nessie.  When I asked her what a Nessie sounded like she made and eel noise.
"bapes" = grapes
"shower" = flower and shower
"shooooo" = she has been saying this lately, and I realized that is because I say "so" a lot (example: so what do you want to do today?)
"nessin" = necklace
"pri-e"=  pretty
"dar go"= there you go
"bounce" = bounce is clear too
"tiss" = kiss
"tiger"
"peep" = sheep
There are many more, but I just can't keep up.  She is really into repeating the words we say right now.

Things she can do right now:
Jaye is able to climb up the steep spiral staircase that leads to the slide at the local park and sit on the big girl swings.  This makes Dave and I a bit nervous because she is still a bit unsteady, but wants to keep up with the bigger kids at the park.

Jaye is now sitting in a portable booster seat during meal times with us, and it has been so fun having her there.  Her food choices have been more diverse as well, which makes us happy parents.

Jayelle loves to role play with her stuffed animals and barn yard Little People now.  So we do a lot of pretending at playtime.

The other day we colored a lion and tapped him on a toilet paper roll, and then read the story of Daniel in the lions den, and she just loved it.  She liked the story so much that before bed she asked Dave to read the story again after grabbing the art project lion.  I will have to keep searching for more art projects like this for our bible reading time!

We have gone swimming at a really fun swim center a couple times lately (and it is one very cool swim center, wave pool, slides, rapids, waterfalls ect.)  Jayelle is loving it.  She says, "go swimming? kick kick kick?)  It is so fun to watch her enjoy the water.  She really is my brave girl.
