A "Wee" One for the Searight Fam
We are so excited to tell you that God is blessing our family with a new addition in September! We are assuming we are at the tail end of the 9th week right now, but do not know for sure because we have yet to have an ultrasound taken. The UK system is different than the states in that I will not be meeting as many times with my midwife and it will be different for me also because I didn't have a midwife with Jaye. I will be with a midwife for the pregnancy and delivery, and will meet with my general practitioner only a couple times. I will not see an OBGyn unless something is wrong. I am happy to have a midwife this time because I think I will have more intimate care during the labor with a midwife who has been with me through the pregnancy. I am already at the chubby stage and have been feeling ill for quite awhile now, but each day I feel a little bit more like myself. I keep telling myself that the ill feeling only means that the "wee" one is doing great and growing each day! I am sorry to those loved ones that are reading this and learning about this for the first time. . .it is so difficult to get to each of you via phone with the time difference. The ultrasound has been scheduled for March and I will be sending you updates as they arrive, but for right now. . .we are anxiously awaiting the birth of our new niece, Faith, who is due to arrive any day any moment!
