Christmas in Scotland

Edinburgh celebrates Christmas in a great and special way. Every year they transform Princess Street Gardens into a Christmas Carnival, outdoor ice rink and German Market. The area is filled with fair rides, yummy food and little booths filled with all sorts of things to purchase. We walked the German market on Christmas Eve, and took some pictures. Christmas was wonderful. We had our first Christmas away from family, and in Scotland. We were also very excited to enjoy a white Christmas! In the morning Jayelle opened her gifts then we headed to Christmas Day service at church. It was a perfect way to celebrate the birth of Jesus with our church family on Christmas day! We then came home to begin cooking our first Christmas dinner. We had some friends (Kengo and Aya) over for dinner and games afterward. They are both from Japan and the US and Kengo is a student at the university with Dave. The dinner turned out so tasty, and I was so pleased! It was a special time and will go down as one of my favorite Christmas' ever!

The Carnival

This is a huge statue of the lead singer in Queen in a kilt for the new musical that just came out. I love the kilt!

Jayelle playing in the snow with Dave. She loved eating the snow.

Jaye opening her new barn. Of course her favorite is the little pig!

Jayelle drinking her milk and yes we had our traditional sugar cookies while opening gifts. Yum Yum!

Our Christmas table.

Erin you look fantastic! It sounds like you all had an amazing Christmas. Jayelle looks more adorable each day! You can tell she is a very happy baby girl. I love the picture of her reading the Bible and the one of her eating the snow! Love you all!
