MiniVacation to The Highlands. . .

Here are some pictures from our mini vacation to Glen Nevis in Scotland's Highlands. It was an amazing trip that we were blessed to share with our new friends Matt, Jude and Caleb. We stayed in our first youth hostel, and loved it! The highlight was our hike around Ben Nevis (Scotland's highest mountain). We went through bogs and misty rain, up hillsides and over a "footbridge" which happened to be two cable wires for your hands and one for your feet. The men did it with the little ones strapped to their bodies. . .God was protecting us! On our drive we stopped at a waterfall, and also saw many castles from afar. So much fun! I am a huge fan of the highlands now!
This sign cracks me up!
The waterfall we stopped at on the way home.

A random castle, Dave and I decided our next ministry will be to all castles and palaces. . .sounds good to us!

Me crossing the footbridge. . .at this point I am thinking how are the boys going to do this with the little ones after me? I took video of them crossing but the video is too long so blogger won't let me download it right now. When Dave crossed with Jayelle, Jayelle saw a dog across the bridge and started saying doggie. . .she was not nervous about getting over at all.

One of the beautiful streams on our hike. They call hikes, hill
walking here.

Dave and Jaye after we climbed a steep hill on our way to get to that big waterfall behind him. Jayelle was nice and dry in this backpack carrier we were able to borrow. . .it was fully covered!

The sun actually came out for a bit!

I love our family!

You are brave to cross that bridge E! Good job. Wish I was there but I don't think I could waddle up the hill fast enough!
