Serving Rwanda

For many years Rwanda has been on our heart.  In college David and I had some very dear friends in our campus ministry from Rwanda.  They shared with us about the tragic genocide there and how it affected their family and beyond which made our heart begin to melt for this country.  Later our church in Portland started partnering with a newly formed ministry founded by a man from Rwanda who had just recently graduated from the same seminary David was attending.  This ministry is called Africa New Life Ministries.  We encourage you to check it out and get involved.  We are currently sponsoring a child through them and were excited to get an email from them just this morning updating us on him.  Our children love to pray for our child in Africa and it is a joy to receive letters and photos from him.  We just read on the ANLM webpage that there is an opportunity for Portland people to prepare a bunch of meals for Rwanda coming up in April.  If you are in the area and want to serve Rwanda we encourage you to help out.  If we were around we would love to be a part of this event!  Here's the link.  http://www.africanewlife.org/numana/
